On 12 September 2026, the The 2026 Melbourne Mid-Autumn Food Festival Comes to a Successful Close, with the participation of Merchants Prosperity Education and Immigration, successfully concluded. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event, participated in the activities and interacted with Merchants Prosperity, for joining us in celebrating a lively, joyful and festive Mid-Autumn Festival. The event featured a spacious activity venue, bringing together a wide range of food stalls, cultural performances, interactive experiences and garden activities, providing a diverse and enjoyable festive experience for participants of all ages. The spectacular dragon and lion dance performances brought the atmosphere to a climax. Accompanied by the sound of drums and traditional percussion, the strong festive atmosphere of traditional Chinese culture was shared by everyone present.
As one of the participating organisations, Merchants Prosperity Education and Immigration specially set up both indoor and outdoor activity areas and prepared more than 20 types of practical gifts and interactive prizes for participants. Throughout the event, Merchants Prosperity engaged with visitors through activities such as the lucky wheel and interactive games, while presenting carefully prepared gifts to participants.
Among these activities, the lucky wheel was particularly popular with visitors. Many people actively took part in the activity, with cheers and laughter heard throughout the venue. One of the highlights was when a $100 gift card was eventually won by a member of the lion dance team, creating a special surprise during the day’s celebrations. At the same time, many children also won toys and stationery they liked through the activities, creating enjoyable and memorable experiences while taking home their favourite gifts.
In addition to the wide range of lucky draw prizes, practical gifts such as tissues and strawberry bags were also well received by visitors. Combining practicality with commemorative value, these small gifts provided convenience to participants while allowing them to experience Merchants Prosperity’s thoughtfulness as they explored the garden and took part in the activities.
In addition to participating in the on-site activities and interactions, the Merchants Prosperity team also took this opportunity to engage face-to-face with many people who study, live and work in Australia. During the event, a number of participants visited the Merchants Prosperity booth to seek information and advice on matters including study in Australia, further education, visas and migration planning. Based on the individual circumstances of each visitor, the Merchants Prosperity team provided relevant information and assistance, with the aim of offering more practical support to those who needed it.
The Mid-Autumn Garden Festival not only provided everyone with an opportunity to gather, enjoy themselves and experience traditional Chinese culture, but also further promoted communication and interaction among the Chinese community, international students and the wider local community in Australia. From the dragon and lion dances and cultural performances to the garden games and lucky draw activities, every part of the event contributed to a joyful and festive atmosphere.

Through participating in and organising more community activities, we hope to create greater opportunities for people to connect, interact and build relationships.
