103 Parent Permanent Residence Visa application requirements

• The applicant's child is an Australian citizen or permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen and has been lawfully resident in Australia for at least two years;

​

• The applicant meets health and character requirements;

Note: The family balance test means that at least half of the applicant's children live permanently in Australia or that more of the applicant's children live in Australia than in other countries.

 

To meet this criteria, the principal applicant needs to meet the following conditions:

​

At least half of the applicant's children are Australian citizens or permanent residents living in Australia, or

More children live permanently in Australia than in any other country.

​

The children involved in the family balance test include: children, stepchildren, adopted children, etc.

• Prepare visa application documents;

• Submit visa application and obtain file number;

• Pass the financial guarantee audit;

• Pass health inspection and quality requirements;
